Remove me from your eNewsletter – I Quit 0 (0)

Comment:

Hi:
I am no longer practicing hypnosis, and no longer interested in receiving hypnosis related information. Had I not been so badly screwed by the ___, I might still be in practice, and may have considered some of your courses.

Response:

Good morning ______, To remove yourself from the newsletter go to bottom of newsletter and click on unsubscribe. I am not able to do that for you. It has to come from your email address.

I am curious though. Why would let something ____ did keep you from being a Hypnotist, owning your own business, creating a career and helping people. I belong to a lot of organizations and actually own one, AAMSN. I have belonged to a number of hypnosis organizations and have remained with _____ because they offer something no other hypnosis organization offers (I choose not to be involved with the politics of the ______, I am not one of the good old boys and I do not serve on the Board of Directors).

There are 3-things the _____ offers no other organization offers. There are many other I could mention, but I will only list  3. They are 1. 2-quarterly teaching newsletters that are full of information from hypnotists that do and understand hypnosis. 2. 2-Conferences each year with a range of speakers that talk on business, hypnotic techniques and new innovations in hypnosis and other alternative health practices. 3. The ___ has the world’s largest library of books, videos, and audios on hypnosis. ___ is a learning/teaching organization. BUT!

Your hypnosis practice is your practice, your business and whether you belong to the ____ or not you can develop a business practice that is your career. You might want to go back and remember why you became a hypnotist. If that reason was sincere then continue. If your reason for becoming a hypnotist was not sincere, then you are doing the right thing. Quit!

I have learned in my 69 years, and being fired from 3 high level career determining positions, because of politics, is to stay focused, live in the present and to not sit in the corner and have a thumb sucking pity party.

My Momma taught me as I was growing up in the Appellation and Smoky Mountains of East TN at a very young age. “Son, never let anyone, no matter who they are even me and your Dad, steal your dreams.”

Reminder:____, To remove yourself from the newsletter go to bottom of newsletter and click on unsubscribe.

My Best to you in your future endeavors.

Nail Biting Question 0 (0)

Nail Biting Question
Question – What would you suggest for a 13 year old nail biter?
Sex would be nice – OOPs, what is the gender – need to know if boy or girl to develop metaphors and suggestions.  But here is a gender neutral idea. Convention.  Nail biting – start with mom and dad as always.  They are not to mention it to him in any way either positive of negative. It is no longer a topic.  It is nothing more than a habit he has developed so treat as any habit.  Use the Hammond introductory statements to say stuff like “I wonder how surprised you will be when you notice that your nails are growing and yoiu have to clip them.”.  You notice I did not use the term you no longer bite your nails.

Metaphor of grass growing and having to be cut, clipped, mowed.
You sucked your thumb and bit your nails when you were a kid, but you are no longer a kid yoiu have outgrown that nasty, dirty habit.  In some cultures at 12 you are considered a man.  You are a man and you are in control.
This should get you started.

Question: Methadone Withdrawl 0 (0)

The Question:

Do you think that hypnosis could help patients handle methadone withdrawl. I am a drug counselor presently and breaking the methadone habit is a hard as breaking the heroin habit. Its the patient’s last 2 weeks of (MSW) Medically Supervied Withdrawl, that is the most critical and most can’t make it over this hump. My thought is that maybe hypnosis could help here.

Any thoughts ?

The Answer:

The simple answer is YES!  The clarification is in saying that not every hypnotist is qualified or capable due to lack of experience or because of a lack of advanced training.  It is not something that is done in 1 or 2 sessions.  When I do this type work I have them in the office for two, two hour session (4 hours total) every day for five straight days.

It is intense, with lots of tools including, mindfulness training, bio-feedback, light and sound, stress management, cell memory, regression and anything else the client brings up I may want to explore.

I send home each night with specific home work and CDs (I make a CD of each session) to listen to, DVD to watch, books to read. Then set a follow up session 6-8 weeks later. It is a lot of work.

Success Rate 0 (0)

Question:
Hello Ron
First office clients this Thursday… Enuresis, stress and 2 weight mgmt.
A question…. Potential clients are calling the office asking the office clerk what my “success rate” is?.. Any good ,quick, basic responses to such a question? I’m guessing a response that includes things such as  “all hypnosis is self hypnosis”, client motivation is key, many variables are involved. Would love to hear what you think!
Jeff
Answer:
A lot of our clients ask that question.  (This lets them know they are not the only one getting hypnotized.)
Success varies with individuals and the issue they are presenting within the same way anything you seek medical help for. (Lets them know they have a responsibility in their own care). No one responds the same.  Those who follow the program of hypnosis and self-hypnosis in our office and at home have a very high success rate.
(You can say). I have worked with this issue and my clients are very happy with their results.
